Exclusive partnership offers brand new mobile marketing opportunity for
German SMEs
Planegg (Munich) / Turin, 28 January 2013 - telegate AG, a directory
assistance provider and regional advertising partner, today announced that
it will offer a brand new marketing opportunity to small and medium-sized
enterprises in Germany. Businesses will be able to let customers know about
current offers, discounts and promotions via the apps 11880.com,
klickTel.de and AroundMe. AroundMe is the world's most frequently used
location-aware mobile app. With this new service, businesses can address a
large audience: In Germany, all three services receive about 60 million
yearly search requests. 'Our cooperation with AroundMe is part of our new
strategy for offering small and medium-sized enterprises in Germany a
complete, efficient online presence,' said telegate CEO Elio Schiavo.
For example, a restaurant listed with telegate can attract extra bookings
on an otherwise quiet winter evening by announcing a last-minute special
offer. Clothing stores can tell potential customers about new seasonal
offers each day, and doctors can announce new treatments on AroundMe.
Smart phone users in more than 200 countries search for information on
AroundMe every day. The app provides useful addresses of doctors, cinemas,
restaurants, filling stations and even nearby parking lots. It displays
contact details, special offers and customer recommendations as well as
photos, videos and other sales support information. All service providers
who are registered with telegate's 11880.com or klicktel.de online
directory assistance portals will soon be able to log in and add attractive
promotions to their telegate and AroundMe listing. This new offer will
benefit German consumers as well as international users who access AroundMe
also in their home countries.
This offer from telegate and AroundMe will be tested for two months in
Munich and Essen starting in April 2013 before being rolled out to the rest
of Germany in the summer.
