Für den Inhalt der Mitteilung ist allein der Emittent verantwortlich. —————————————————————————— AIXTRON AG erwirbt Minderheitsbeteiligung an J.I.P.ELEC AIXTRON hat eine 7,4%-ige Minderheitsbeteiligung an der französischen Firma J.I.P.ELEC erworben. J.I.P.ELEC ist ein Lieferant für Module und Systeme für Halbleiter-Prozessierung. AIXTRON wird J.I.P.ELEC Module in die Tricent(tm)-Maschinen, die zukünftige AIXTRON Anlagengeneration, insbesondere zur Herstellung ferroelektrischer Materialien für SmartCards oder hochintegrierte Speicherchips, als TriJet(tm) Injektionssystem integrieren. Verbunden mit der Minderheitsbeteiligung erwirbt AIXTRON exklusiv verschiedene Lizenzen und sichert sich somit, zusammen mit einem exklusiven Herstellungs- und Liefervertrag, den alleinigen Zugriff auf eine wichtige Schlüsseltechnologie. AIXTRON und J.I.P.ELEC werden zudem im Rahmen einer Kooperation die Entwicklung der TriJet(tm) Technologie gemeinsam vorantreiben. AIXTRON AG acquires minority interest in J.I.P.ELEC AIXTRON has acquired a 7.4 per cent minority interest in J.I.P.ELEC, a French company. J.I.P.ELEC is a supplier for modules and systems for semiconductor processing. AIXTRON will incorporate the J.I.P.ELEC module, as the TriJet(tm) injection system, into the Tricent(tm) equipment. This next generation AIXTRON equipment will be mainly used to process ferroelectric materials for SmartCards or the future generation of DRAMs. Associated with the minority interest acquisition is the grant of various exclusive licenses to AIXTRON. In conjunction with an exclusive OEM contract, AIXTRON will be able to have sole access to an important key technology. An co-operation agreement between AIXTRON and J.I.P.ELEC will, in addition, further the development of the Tricent(tm) technology.
