informed us according to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG that via shares
its Voting Rights on AIXTRON AG, Aachen, Germany, ISIN: DE0005066203, WKN:
506620, have exceeded the 3% limit of the Voting Rights on July 03, 2008 
and now amount to 3.13% (this corresponds to 2849531 Voting Rights).

At the same time, DWS Investment GmbH, Frankfurt am Main, Germany has
informed us on July 22, 2008 according to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG
that via shares its Voting Rights on AIXTRON AG, Aachen, Germany, ISIN:
DE0005066203, WKN: 506620, have fallen below the 3% limit of the Voting
Rights on July 21, 2008 and now amount to 2.997% (this corresponds to
2724531 Voting Rights).
