MABEG sold in MBO
Bergisch Gladbach, August 24, 2004 – The INDUS Holding AG sold its entire 100%
stake in the Soest-based MABEG Kreuschner GmbH & Co. KG, Soest, in a
management buy out (MBO) to the commercial manager, Stefan Lichte. Lichte, who
has been employed at the company since 1982, will continue the restructuring
measures initiated by INDUS for MABEG in a rigorous manner.
In recent years, MABEG, a producer of signage systems and municipal furnishing
started to post losses due to a strong decline in public-sector demand and
fierce competition on price. In the 2003 financial year, the company generated
sales of EUR 8.4 million. INDUS thus makes a further step in optimising its
participation portfolio. Confidentiality was agreed on the level of the
purchase price.
