INDUS reports record sales and earnings for 2010
Bergisch Gladbach, February 28, 2011 - INDUS Holding AG is likely to close
the fiscal year 2010 as the most successful year since its inception 25
years ago and will thus once again exceed its several times increased
forecasts. At approx. EUR 970 million, sales revenues will hit a new record
and be up by more than 25% on the year 2009. Earnings before interest and
taxes (EBIT) improved by 80% to roughly EUR 100 million. An EBIT margin in
of over 10% means that INDUS went straight back to its high pre-recession
profitability levels again.
Excellent results in all five segments
Business was much better than expected at the beginning of the year. The
strong recovery was felt across all segments. The upswing primarily
benefited the traditional, highly export-oriented industries such as metals
and electrics as well as automotive. The construction investments also
flourished, as they benefited from the economic stimulus packages in 2010.
EUR 1 billion sales target set for 2011
CEO Helmut Ruwisch is confident that sales and earnings will continue to
increase in the fiscal year 2011. 'The upswing gains strength. At present,
only good news is forthcoming from our investments regarding orders and
order backlog. We therefore expect sales revenues to grow in 2011, which
means that we will skip the one billion mark for the first time.'
The full results of the fiscal year 2010 will be published on April 29.
