INDUS subsidiary OFA Bamberg reaches agreement on the acquisition of NEA International Bergisch Gladbach, 30 April 2015 – INDUS subsidiary OFA Bamberg GmbH, Bamberg, and the Dutch Macintosh Retail Group N.V., Maastricht, have reached an agreement on the acquisition of 100% of the shares in NEA International B.V. (NEA), Maastricht. The transaction will have retroactive effect from 1 January 2015. NEA develops quality medical braces and sport braces for the specific application in the treatment of joint injuries and chronic diseases. The braces are sold in more than 30 countries to customers in both the medical and sporting goods sector. NEA was founded in Maastricht in 1986 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Macintosh.
Since the beginning of the 1990s, OFA Bamberg has sold NEA products in Germany and Austria. OFA Bamberg is a manufacturer of medical compression stockings, bandages and orthoses as well as preventive healthcare products such as support and travel stockings. The company’s product range also includes special stockings for athletes and diabetics.
