The total 1999 turnover amounted to DM 44.9 million (1998: DM 32.9 million), the total consolidated revenue increased by 43.4 percent to DM 45.6 million (1998: DM 31.8 million). Pre-eminently the division PR and Political Communication with Hunzinger PR GmbH (Frankfurt am Main) showed extremely positive development with a growth of 52 percent up to DM 37.7 million. The second division, Public Opinion, Market and Social Research with “infas” Institut für angewandte Sozialwissenschaft GmbH (Bonn-Bad Godesberg) recorded DM 7.9 million total revenue compared with the previous year’s DM 7.0 million. The result from ordinary business activities increased by 82 percent (previous year: DM 3.3 million) to DM 6.0 million. The IAS earnings increased to DM 2.9 million, 71 percent over the previous year’s adjusted IAS earnings. On the basis of currently 4 million shares issued, this accounts for provisional DVFA earnings of DM 0.69 per share after DM 0.38 for the previous year. The new subsidiary, action press GmbH & Co. KG (Hamburg), achieved a result of DM 1.3 million on ordinary business activities in 1999. In the current fiscal year, action press will be included in the consolidated figures of Hunzinger Information AG for the first time. With a turnover of around DM 12 million anticipated for 2000, action press is one of the largest digital picture data banks worldwide, with half a million photographs online and a total of 5 million pictures from current events, show and society, politics, economy and science. Capital increase: banking syndicate set up – present shareholders BGAG Beteiligungsgesellschaft der Gewerkschaften AG, DBB Deutscher Beamtenbund, Gold-Zack and Moritz Hunzinger will participate Hunzinger Information AG will shortly undertake a cash capital increase in a 10:1 ratio through the issue of 400,000 no-par-value bearer shares. The equity capital will be increased by euro 400,000 from euro 4,000,000 to euro 4,400,000. In the banking syndicate participate Gontard & MetallBank AG, Hauck & Aufhäuser Privatbankiers KGaA and Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. KGaA. The shares will be issued with entitlement to dividends of fiscal 1999 (as from January 1, 1999). The Executive Board will determine the shareholder-friendly subscription price in due time. The issue proceeds are to be used for further acquisitions currently under scrutiny. The old shareholders will fully participate In the capital increase. The Hunzinger Information AG shareholders include a joint venture between BGAG Beteiligungsgesellschaft der Gewerkschaften and the Deutscher Beamtenbund (DBB) as well as Gold-Zack AG, each holding 10 percent. Company founder Moritz Hunzinger holds 50 percent and 30 percent are diversified holdings.
