Another successful tender for Init in the USA
Rock Island, Illinois has also decided in favour of Init telematics and
automatic passenger counting systems.
Once again, a transportation company in the USA has chosen technology for
integrated telematics and automatic passenger counting systems from init
innovation in traffic systems AG, Karlsruhe. The US-subsidiary, INIT Inc. was
awarded the tender by the Board of Trustees of Rock Island County Metropolitan
Mass Transit District, Illinois for the equipment of buses and of the control
center with hard- and software components. The order volume amounts to
approximately 1.5 million US dollars. Just a few days ago, Init was awarded
respective tenders totalling to about 3 million US dollars by two other
transportation companies in the US states of Indiana and Illinois.
The decision made will effect the sales figures of init innovation in traffic
systems AG for the year 2002. Thus, the planned sales volume for the North
America business, as well as the target of an increase in sales of more than
140% in this region for the business year 2002, are as of today already secured
with orders. Decisions on other tenders totalling more than 10 million US
dollars will be made in the next weeks. Here, Init is also confident of having
good prospects for additional orders.
