Durch die Integration der neuen Entwicklungs- und Projektteams wird INTERSHOP die eigene Produktentwicklung beschleunigen sowie für das Projektgeschäft benötigte Fachleute erhalten, um angemessen auf die Auftragslage – insbesondere bei der Installation der E-Commerce Software “enfinity” bei Grossunternehmen – reagieren zu können. Die OWiS Software GmbH aus der thüringischen Universitätsstadt Ilmenau, wurde 1992 gegründet und beschäftigte zuletzt über 100 Mitarbeiter an den Standorten Ilmenau, Hamburg, Stuttgart und San Diego. Zu den Kunden von OWiS zählen u.a. DaimlerChrysler, LBS, Helaba, Ascom und Deutsche Bahn AG. Der Schwerpunkt der Erfahrungen liegt in der Entwicklung innovativer Werkzeuge für Unternehmen, die selbst Software herstellen.
