Consolidated sales accumulate to EUR 27.3 m (2007: EUR 38.1 m)
Declining sales and one time extraordinary expenses lead to a consolidated
net loss of EUR 3.3 m. (2007: EUR 1.0 m net profit)
Passau, March 30, 2009 - As expected, the consolidated sales of InTiCa
Systems AG (ISIN DE0005874846, Prime Standard) declined in fiscal 2008 from
EUR 38.1m to EUR 27.3m.
The decline in sales is mainly caused by the weakening telecommunication
market, including an increase of the pressure on market prices. This
development cannot be counterbalanced by the positive development in the
segments of automotive technology and industrial electronics.
In the area of overhead, purchasing- and production costs, InTiCa Systems
has launched considerable long term oriented cost savings programs. During
fiscal 2008, those programs lead to a negative one time effect of EUR 0.2m,
reducing the results of the program in the accounting period. The full
effect of the successfully executed programs is expected to lead to savings
of EUR 2.7m per year, starting in 2009.
Because of the decline of sales and one time losses in the cumulated amount
of approx. EUR 1.4 m, InTiCa Systems AG suffered a cumulated consolidated
loss of around EUR 3.3 m (2007: net profit of EUR 1.0 m).
As of December 31, 2008 cash and cash equivalents in the group amounted to
EUR 10.3m.
