Jenoptik and EADS merge their facility management activities.
The Jenoptik technology group and the European aerospace group EADS of Amsterdam
are merging their facility management activities. The Jenoptik Group
subsidiary, M+W Zander Facility Management GmbH, a part of Clean Systems,
Jenoptik’s largest business division, will be involved in the new company. The
EADS subsidiary, D.I.B. – Gesellschaft für Standortbetreiberdienste mbH (Society
for Facility Operational Services), will be involved in the new company as
well. D.I.B. provides its services at EADS’ Munich site (Ottobrunn) while being
active as a facility management provider for a large number of other companies
including banks and insurance firms throughout southern Germany. M+W Zander –
D.I.B. Facility Management GmbH will be present in important European markets
and throughout Germany – with a total of around 2,100 employees and a sales
volume of over 300 million euros. EADS will control 30.9 percent of the company
while Jenoptik holds 69.1 percent through its subsidiary, M+W Zander Holding AG.
The new company will be tied to Jenoptik’s Clean Systems business division.
This merger will lead to one of the largest independent providers of complete
facility management in Europe.
