HAITEC AG Closes Million-Plus Consulting Contract
Automobile maker signs on for CAE training worldwide / DMU (digital
mock-up) consulting services part of the package / Contract volume
ranges into seven digits
Munich, May 16, 2000 – Munich-based IT service provider HAITEC AG,
whose shares (600 520) are traded on the Neuen Markt, just put the
finishing touches on an agreement with a major German maker for
training services and consulting contracts to the tune of a seven-digit
figure. The training contract for computer-aided engineering (CAE)
solutions is valid worldwide. CAE applications enable engineers to create
blueprints for even highly complex products on the computer, test and
analyze the draft, and transmit the collated data and instruction
sequences to manufacturing for use in production, assembly and process
control. Contracts covering consulting services for DMU solutions were
also closed. A digital mock-up is a virtual prototype generated for testing
purposes, for example, to simulate crash tests on the computer.
With this agreement, HAITEC, as a premier consulting and coaching
company, has again underscored its high-value approach to the
introduction of leading-edge technologies. Making a considerable
contribution to its value-add strategy are the six Competence Centers that
the company has established since the beginning of 1999. A partner of
nearly all German car makers, HAITEC’s remarkable CAE expertise is
valued throughout the industry. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the
agreement, which remains valid for an indefinite period, is that HAITEC
for the first time in its enterprise history succeeded in closing a worldwide
contract. To fulfill its contractual obligations, HAITEC is set to deploy a
pool of seasoned consultants and developers, a highly experienced task
force available on demand at each of the automotive corporation’s sites.
