HAITEC AG Clinches Biggest e-Business Deal in Company History
Seven-digit figure for service revenues / Alliance with Internet computer
center operator Exodus Communications
Munich, May 23, 2000 – HAITEC AG, whose shares (600 520) are traded on the
Neuer Markt, just put the finishing touches on a multimillion mark contract
for e-business services with the Internet insurance service provider Censio,
Oestrich-Winkel. HAITEC’s consulting and services – encompassing everything
from IT infrastructure planning to developing a state-of-the-art security
concept and operating the running system – alone account for revenues of
more than one million DM. Censio’s goal is to provide an on-line platform that
empowers consumers and B2B business partners to compare the premiums of
Germany’s 27 leading insurance companies. By winning the bid to roll out this
one-of-a-kind platform, HAITEC has consolidated its position as a provider of
high-value services to the strategically significant financial services and
insurance industry.
The company’s strong position is fortified further by an alliance with the
US IT company Exodus Communications, Santa Clara, one of the world’s leading
operators of Internet computer centers for mission-critical applications.
Exodus launched its first German computer center, initially with floor space
of some 11,000 sq. m., in Frankfurt. Now when HAITEC new major accounts, it
can as an authorized partner fall back on the considerably capacities of the
American company’s computer center. The skills and expertise of the two
enterprises in the growth markets data storage and IT security stand to
generate significant synergetic effects.
