The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– HAITEC Group shows an increase in turnover of 37% in the first quarter – Increase in turnover to 25.56 million Euro – Incoming orders increased by 20 % HAITEC AG (WKN 600 520), quoted on the New Market, increased its turnover by 37 % in the first quarter vis-a-vis a comparative period of time of last year. In so doing, the business development fulfilled its expectations. Within the first three months the IT-service provider reached a turnover of 25.56 million Euro, 5.41 million Euro can be attributed to services. Compared with the period of time of last year the turnover amounted to 18.66 million Euro. ustomary in this line of business HAITEC AG reports an annual net loss for the year at the end of the first quarter. As expected, the high portion of trade business contributed a non-sufficient amount to the result in the first quarter. Additionally, the result was burdened by a number of long-term projects, the sort of which the billing for consulting and services will be implemented in the course of this business year. Due to the shift of the highly profitable service business into the follow-up periods HAITEC expects a significant improvement of the result at the end of the year. In the first quarter the operative result (EBIT) amounted to -3.07 million Euro. (last year -1.98 million Euro). In so doing, the annual net loss for the year deteriorated to -2.23 million Euro vis-a-vis -1.34 million Euro in the last year. A comparison adjusted for other operating revenues (Q1-2000 Euro 1.17 Mill., Q1-2001 Euro 18 Mill.) shows that earnings before interest and taxes) reach the previous year’s level. The result per share amounts to -0.67 Euro compared with the value of last year of -0.38 Euro. Compared with last year incoming orders were increased by 20% to 24.32 million Euro. In particular, big orders placed by well-known companies such as Accor Hotellerie and Fairchild Dornier contributed to this positive result. The number of employees of HAITEC-Group was increased from 491 to 505. HAITEC plans the turnaround for this business year.
