Haitec AG trennt separates service business from sales
Focus on IT services requires new management field
Munich, June 12, 2002 – Aimed at consistently driving the strategic redirection
of Haitec AG headquartered in Munich, Wolfgang Gemmel (55), who previously
worked as Managing Director at Oce Printing Systems GmbH, will support the
leadership team of the IT service provider effective immediately. In his new
capacity, Wolfgang Gemmel assumes responsibility for Product Sales and Marketing
of the business fields System Integration and PLM (Product Lifecycle
Management). Various leading functions in international companies make Wolfgang
Gemmel the ideal person for this new task.
Compared with the mere hardware business, Haitec AG has posted above-average
growth rates in the IT services business for years. The company stays abreast of
this trend by aligning management responsibilities. Herbert Walter (37), member
of the board of management and previously responsible for the entire
operational business at Haitec AG will in future control the newly structured
service field as a member of the board of management for Services. In addition,
Herbert Walter presides over Haitec’s subsidiary HTC (Haitec Technology Center)
GmbH and is responsible for construction services and training as well as the
newly founded Haitec Services GmbH, a company that has recently started to
successfully provide new Asset Management concepts.
In his capacity as a member of the board of management, Christian Ruppert (39)
will continue to be responsible for Finance & Administration.
