Haitec changes stock exchange segment and restructures its management
Following the unanimous decision of the Board of Management and the Supervisory
Board, the IT service provider Haitec AG, quoted at the Neue Markt, has filed an
application for the trading of the Haitec stock on the Regulated Market as of
September 1, 2002. Decisive for the segment change were the high costs amounting
to more than 300,000 Euros annually, a low trading volume as well as the
continuing crisis of confidence surrounding the Neue Markt. According to the
corporation, the overall bad image of the Neue Markt negatively affects both the
share rate as well as the reputation of the company. After the segment change,
Haitec AG expects to be increasingly evaluated according to its actual results
and to gain new investors for the share. As already announced, the system house
improved its EBIT in the first half of 2002 with sales of 22.85 million Euros by
more than 4 million Euros to -2.84 million Euros and thus by approximately 60%
compared to the previous year.
New management structure
The newly constituted Supervisory Board of Haitec AG and Wolfgang Gemmel,
Chairman Sales and Marketing, who has taken over this position as of July 1 have
parted in mutual consultation. Reinhard Pfleger, who has held various executive
sales functions within Haitec AG for the last ten years, will assume
responsibility for the control and strategic direction of the entire operational
business.
Herbert Walter, who has been Chairman Services so far, will give up this
capacity and assume responsibility as General Manager Haitec Services GmbH, a
subsidiary of Haitec AG, within the group. His task is to drive the expanded
services portfolio company-wide, to directly influence the consulting services
and thus effectively support the shift in direction and development of Haitec to
become an IT Service Provider. Moreover, Herbert Walter is responsible for the
integration of all associated companies within the group. Until further notice,
Christian Ruppert, so far responsible for Finance and Administration, will be in
charge for Haitec AG as a sole member of the Board of Management.
This centralization of functions enables the precise control of future
activities as well as an intensive cost management. Additionally, this step
adjusts the Board of Management to the new corporate size.
