In the current year it plans to double its pre-tax profits to some DM 12 m (6 m in the previous year). A major contribution will be made by the Chorus/Apollo group in which a majority holding was acquired in January. This year the group’s balance sheet total will amount to more than DM 2 bn (as compared with DM 1.7 bn in the previous year) and turnover will exceed half a billion (vis-a-vis 409 m in the previous year). This was announced by financial executive Kai-Roger Grueneke in Hamburg on Friday. The members of the board of management and majority shareholders of Albis Leasing AG, Ruediger Wolff und Hans Otto Mahn, also supplied detailed information on the further growth and innovations they are planning which includes the launch of a media fund. Albis Leasing AG, a provider of special financial services, is active in the field of investment (leasing companies, film productions) and closed funds (leasing funds and film funds). In the current year the group’s leasing companies are expecting new business to the value of more than DM 1.3 bn. Some DM 40 m will be invested in film productions in the first six months. In 2001 the Funds & Services division (closed funds) is planning a total issue volume in excess of DM 400 m (220 m in the previous year).
