Krones raises earnings target for 2015 after strong first half

Krones, the world's leading manufacturer of filling and packaging
technology, continued to grow profitably in the first half of 2015. Revenue
grew 4.8% year-on-year to EUR1,503.7 million. New orders also increased
further, by 4.3% to EUR1,524.1 million. Earnings before taxes (EBT) rose
16.4% in the first six months of 2015, from EUR89.4 million in the previous
year to EUR104.1 million. As a result, the EBT margin, the ratio of
earnings before taxes to revenue, improved from 6.2% to 6.9%.

Because profitability exceeded Krones' expectations in the first half of
2015 and the market outlook is positive overall, Krones is raising its EBT
margin forecast for the year 2015 as a whole from 6.8% to 7.0%. The
company's target for revenue growth for 2015 remains unchanged at 4%.
