Hamburg, Germany: Today Marenave Schiffahrts AG published the preliminary,
unaudited annual report for financial year 2015. The preliminary unaudited
separate and consolidated financial statements included in this annual
report show the same financial results and equity that already had been
published on 23 March 2016 in connection with the extraordinary
shareholders' meeting.
As previously announced in the press release dated 23 March 2016, to this
day the company's auditors have still not been able to issue an auditor's
report on the separate and consolidated financial statements and
consequently the Supervisory Board so far has not been able to adopt the
financial statements because the assumption of going-concern, which is the
underlying principle of these prepared financial statements, requires an
agreed restructuring plan between the Marenave Group and its consortia of
financing banks; this restructuring plan still has not been agreed upon.
Therefore, the date of the annual general meeting of the company, which
according to the financial calendar originally had been scheduled for 16
June 2016, will be postponed. The company intends to invite for an annual
general meeting immediately after the separate and consolidated financial
statements for financial year 2015 have been issued with an auditor's
report and have been adopted by the Supervisory Board.
