The Supervisory Board of MediClin AG, one of the leading clinic operators in Germany, approved an extensive investment budget concerning future growth of the corporation at its meeting yesterday. This also includes two imminent acquisitions which would contribute significantly to group sales next year. Both facilities are operating profitably. Following consultation with the shareholders, who approved a 12-months-lock up period within the context of the IPO (December 6, 2000), the company announced that it has no intention to sell any shares in the medium term. The board as well as the shareholders are convinced that the privatisation process of clinics will continue to increase dramatically and that MediClin will have an above proportionate share in this growth market.
