– An acute care hospital with a strong performance and a turnover of more than
EURO 25 million
Frankfurt, 20. December 2001. The Müritz district council gave MediClin AG the
green light to acquire 57.5 percent of the Müritz Clinic”s shares.
The Müritz Clinic is a medical centre with 411 beds and a turnover of over EURO
25 million in 2001. The district council representatives made a decision in
favour of MediClin yesterday evening since they view MediClin as a suitable
partner for strengthening and further developing medical care in the region over
the longer term. MediClin is already represented in Mecklenburg- West Pomerania
with a number of facilities and recently took over the Crivitzer am See
Hospital, a formerly state-funded clinic, which is also located in that region.
Contracts for the acquisition of the Müritz Clinic are likely to be signed
before the end of this year.
