June 2002: At the general meeting of MediClin AG held on Friday, 31 May 2002, Rainer J. Räsch, Chairman of the Board, drew a mainly positive summary for the 2001 financial year. In financial year 2001, MediClin AG increased its consolidated sales by just under 5% from 301 million Euro to 315 million Euro, including sales generated by the companies consolidated for the first time. The consolidated net profit grew by 2.3 million Euro to 8.9 million Euro and earnings per share amounted to 28 cents. The concept to implement regional health-care networks in order to be in a position to offer high quality, affordable medical services has proved itself. The successful acquisition activities carried out since the middle of last year will also be continued in the current financial year. Within the framework of current conditions, the company assumes that targets set for 2002 will be achieved and expects total sales of over 400 million Euro for financial year 2002 and earnings per share of 45 cents. The Management Board and the Supervisory Board proposed to the General Meeting that a dividend of 15 cents per share be paid. All items on the agenda were approved with well over the required majority.
