Bremen, January 20, 2012 - The Supervisory Board of MeVis Medical Solutions
AG [ISIN: DE000A0LBFE4], a leading software provider for the medical
imaging market, has appointed Marcus Kirchhoff as the company's new CEO
effective March 1, 2012. He will take over from Dr. Carl Evertsz, who led
the company as CEO since September 2006.
Marcus Kirchhoff has extensive experience in leading positions with large
international IT companies. Over the past ten years he assumed various
managerial roles at General Electric's Healthcare IT business, where most
recently he was responsible for the entire GE Healthcare IT business for
Central Europe.
The changes to the Executive Board result from different views on the
further development of MeVis Medical Solutions AG. Dr. Carl Evertsz
consequently decided, in agreement with the Supervisory Board, to dedicate
himself to new professional challenges in the future. The Supervisory Board
would like to sincerely thank Dr. Carl Evertsz for his excellent
achievements in developing and successfully internationalizing the company.
He will act as a consultant to the company during the transitional period
to ensure a smooth change-over.
