November 2000 – Die MLP AG, führend im Private Finance für Akademiker und anspruchsvolle Privatkunden in Europa, hat erstmalig auf Quartalsberichterstattung umgestellt. Nach den jetzt vorliegenden Ergebnissen für das dritte Quartal stiegen die Gesamterlöse des Konzerns von 231,8 Millionen Euro im Vorjahr um rund 44 Prozent auf 334 Millionen Euro. Die Umsatzerlöse stiegen um 26 Prozent von 118,9 Millionen Euro auf 149,8 Millionen Euro. Der Konzerngewinn vor Ertragssteuern konnte gegenüber dem Vorjahr um 47 Prozent von 34,1 Millionen Euro auf 50,2 Millionen Euro gesteigert werden. Der Gewinn der Holding stieg um 31 Prozent von 31,7 Millionen Euro auf 41,6 Millionen Euro vor Ertragssteuern. Die MLP Finanzdienstleistungen AG, das Beraterunternehmen, steigerte den an die MLP AG abzuführenden Gewinn um 25 Prozent von 24 Millionen Euro auf 30 Millionen Euro. Zum 30. September 2000 betreuten 1.900 Berater 355.000 Kunden in über 200 Geschäftsstellen. Die MLP Vermögensverwaltung AG vervierfachte die Erlöse von 2,0 Millionen Euro auf 8,5 Millionen Euro. Der Gewinn vor Ertragssteuern wurde nach 1,6 Millionen Euro mit 5,1 Millionen Euro verdreifacht. Dieses Ergebnis zeigt, dass das Kerngeschäftsfeld Geldanlage sich künftig zu einer wesentlichen Position für das Konzernwachstum entwickeln wird. Auch die erst 1997 gegründete MLP Bank AG kann wiederum auf ein rasantes Wachstum zurückblicken und den positiven Trend fortsetzen. Gegenüber dem Vergleichszeitraum konnte der Verlust von 355.000 Euro in einen Gewinn vor Ertragssteuern von 205.000 Euro gewandelt werden. Das Zinsergebnis erreichte nach 0,7 Millionen Euro 2,0 Millionen Euro und das Provisionsergebnis erhöhte sich von 2,0 Millionen Euro auf 5,9 Millionen Euro. Dynamisches Wachstum kann ebenfalls die MLP Lebensversicherung AG vorweisen. Die Beitragseinnahmen stiegen um 76 Prozent von 96,5 Millionen Euro auf 170 Millionen Euro. Der Gewinn vor Ertragssteuern wurde knapp vervierfacht und zwar von 1,8 Millionen auf 6,9 Millionen Euro. Für das Jahresendergebnis rechnet das Unternehmen wie prognostiziert mit einem stabilen Wachstum von über 30 Prozent. Erfahrungsgemäß ist das vierte Quartal das stärkste für MLP. Banking and wealth management sectors both report strong growth figures. Heidelberg, November 16th 2000 – MLP AG, leading in Europe in the field of private finance for sophisticated private clients with an academic degree, has converted to quarterly reporting methods for the first time. According to the results now available for the third quarter, the total group revenues have increased from 231,8 million Euro in 1999 by some 44 percent to 334 million Euro this year. The sales revenues increased by 26 percent from 118,9 million Euro to 149,8 million Euro. The pre-tax group profit has risen by 47 percent in comparison with the previous year, from 34,1 million Euro to 50,2 million Euro. MLP AG reported a profit increase of 31 percent from 31,7 million Euro to 41,6 million Euro before tax. MLP Finanzdienstleistungen AG, the consulting arm, increased the profit paid over to MLP AG by 25 percent from 24 million Euro to 30 million Euro. As at September 30th 2000 some 1,900 consultants advised some 355,000 clients in over 200 branch offices. The wealth management company, MLP Vermögensverwaltung AG, quadrupled its revenues from 2,0 million Euro to 8,5 million Euro. The pre-tax profit has tripled from 1,6 million Euro to 5,1 million Euro. This result is a clear indication that the core financial investment business has taken up an excellent position for the future group growth. MLP Bank AG, the group’s banking arm that was founded in just 1997, can also look back on a year of rapid growth and continue with its positive trend. In comparison with the same period last year, the losses of 355.000 Euro have been converted into a pre-tax profit of 205.000 Euro. The company reports a net interest income of 0,7 million Euro in comparison with 2,0 million Euro in 1999, and an increase in the commission income from 2,0 million Euro to 5,9 million Euro. Dynamic growth rates have also been reported by MLP Lebensversicherung AG, the life assurance company. The premium income rose by 76 percent from 96,5 million Euro to 170 million Euro. The company has significantly increased its pre-tax profit, recording a rise of 1,8 million to 6,9 million. The group expects to report an annual net result in excess of 30 percent as forecast.
