MLP Management Change
Heidelberg, 22nd October 2003 – Dr. Bernhard Termühlen has requested the MLP AG
supervisory board to release him from his duties as chief executive officer with
effect from 31st December 2003. The reason is Termühlen’s desire for more time
to pursue private interests after almost 20 years at MLP, 15 of which he spent
on the management board.
“We at MLP have successfully mastered the challenging corporate crisis faced in
2002. The points have once again been set for a sustainable and profitable
growth course. This challenge and all its side effects have not passed me by
unnoticed. The past few years have had it difficult for me to make time for
private life, especially for my family. As a result of my decision I will be
able to focus much more upon private life”, explains Termühlen.
The MLP AG supervisory board acknowledged Termühlen’s decision with regret and
respect, and will grand his request to step down. “During his time as board
member and Chief Executive Officer, MLP has become a leading financial services
company with a unique business model. I would like to thank Bernhard Termühlen
for this entrepreneurial performance and wish him and his family the very best
for the future”, says chairman of the MLP AG supervisory board Manfred
Lautenschläger.
The decision concerning Termühlen’s successor is to be made in the coming weeks.
