Mai 2000 — Im ersten Quartal 2000 erwirtschaftete Morphosys einen Umsatz von 2,2 Millionen DM (1,2 Millionen DM 1999). Dies entspricht einem Umsatzzuwachs von 83 Prozent gegenueber dem ersten Quartal 1999. Die Betriebsausgaben im Berichtszeitraum stiegen um 86 Prozent auf 5,4 Millionen DM (2,9 Millionen DM 1999). Das Unternehmensergebnis weist somit einen planmaessigen Fehlbetrag von 3 Millionen DM (1,7 Millionen in 1999) bzw. 0,86 DM (0,59 DM) pro Aktie aus. Damit entspricht das Ergebnis den Erwartungen. Das Unternehmen hat in verschiedenen Bereichen bedeutende Fortschritte erzielt und ist auf dem Weg, die Ziele fuer das laufende Jahr zu erreichen. Operating expenses increased by 86 percent to 5.4 million DM (2.9 million DM 1999). Net loss for the period was 3.0 million DM (1.7 Million DM) or 0.86 DM (0.59 DM in 1999) per share. The financial result is in line with expectations. The company made significant progress on several fronts in the first quarter of 2000 and is on track to meet the financial targets for the year.
