Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Besigheim, August 29th, 2001 – During the first six months of the current financial year, Müller – Die lila Logistik AG (listed on the Neuer Markt since May 30th) substantially increased business volumes, achieving sales of EUR 12.4 million (comparable period in previous year: EUR 6.5 million). The company thereby increased profits by 90% compared to the same period during the previous year. During the second quarter of 2001, profits rose by 70% compared to the previous quarter from EUR 4.6 million to EUR 7.8 million. Company sales increased during the second quarter of 2001 by 138% compared to the second quarter of 2000. This was mainly due to orders from new customers, which the company succeeded in acquiring in addition to its existing longstanding customer relationships. The majority of sales were achieved within what has been the core business area up to now, Logistics Operating, whilst a less significant contribution to overall sales was made, as expected, by the expanding business area Logistics Design and the business segments Trade and Inventory Management (TIM) and Life Time Supply (LTS), both of which are currently being developed. The company’s profitability improved as well. Müller – Die lila Logistik AG increased earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) to EUR 0.7 million and thereby achieved an EBIT margin of 5.5%. In the comparable period of the previous year, the company was still showing a loss before interest and taxes of EUR 0.3 million (EBIT margin for the first six months of 2000: -4.1%). The EBITDA result increased more than fivefold from EUR 288 thousand to EUR 1,547 thousand. Business development to date has fulfilled company expectations. The high level of orders as at June 30th, 2001 indicates that business will continue to develop positively during the second half of the year. Experience shows that more than 60% of total annual sales normally arise in the second half of the year due to seasonal influences, with a peak in the fourth quarter.
