The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– EBIT reaches 1.35 million EUR in the first six months, restructuring measures completed on schedule Besigheim, 28 August 2003 – Following the successful implementation of its restructuring measures, Müller-Die lila Logistik AG has concluded the reorganisation of the corporate Group in the first six months of this year on schedule. The reorganisation has resulted in a more streamlined Group structure, better utilisation of the adjusted capacities and an improvement in the cost structure. On a year-to-year comparison, revenue for the first six months declined by 5.6 percent to 30,235,000 EUR (previous year: 32,028,000 EUR) due to changes in the scope of consolidation. Adjusted for these deconsolidations the organic growth rate amounted to 24.8 percent. The adjustment of capacities and the personnel measures that were implemented at the end of last year resulted in a marked improvement in the cost structure. Earnings before depreciation, amortisation, interest and taxes (EBITDA) increased to 2,422,000 EUR (previous year: 5,000 EUR), whilst earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) improved to 1,350,000 EUR following minus 1,201,000 EUR during the same period the previous year. At 88,000 EUR (previous year: minus 2,093,000 EUR), the net income for the period equates to earnings per share of 0.01 EUR (previous year: minus 0.27 EUR). Together with the existing cash assets, the cash flow that was generated was used to repay debts in an amount of 3,586,000 EUR. This was the primary reason for the decline in the balance sheet total to 45,054,000 EUR (31.12.2002: 48,562,000 EUR), whilst the equity ratio increased to 18.1 percent (31.12.2002: 16.6 %). In the wake of the satisfactory development of business during the first six months, the company has raised its revenue forecast by 3 million EUR to 55 million EUR, and substantiated its expectations that earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) will reach 2.1 million EUR for the year 2003 overall.
