Issuer’s information/explanatory remarks concerning this ad hoc announcement:
Segment Performance
The planning and consultancy segment Logistics Design improved its
(unconsolidated) sales from 2,641 kEUR in the previous year to 3,823 kEUR in
2004. Even its earnings before interest and taxes rose markedly to 844 kEUR
(previous year: 570 kEUR).
In Logistics Operating, the business segment providing operational logistics
services, the corporate group posted a growth in sales to 67,339 kEUR
(previous year: 56,672 kEUR). Earnings before interest and taxes was 1,707
kEUR (previous year: 1,873 kEUR), which corresponds to a margin of 2.5% in
this segment.
Expanding Market Development in Poland
It was with the goal of expanding the Lila Logistik brand in Poland and
supporting the local branch in developing the market there in the future, that
the company bought the sub-subsidiary in December of last year and made it a
direct subsidiary operating under the name Müller – Die lila Logistik Polska
sp. z o.o. This transaction had no influence on the figures for fiscal year
2004, since the Polish company had already been fully consolidated.
Reduction in Percentage of Interest in TKS Unternehmensberatung
In the last quarter of 2004 Müller – Die lila Logistik AG sold 14 percent of
its shareholding in TKS Unternehmensberatung und Industrieplanung GmbH to the
majority partner. The current equity share of 33 percent now reflects the
earlier earnings entitlement.
Increase of Free Float to 31.6 %
In February 2005 there was an increase in the number of shares trading in free
flow on the exchanges. Free float increased from 23.8 percent to 31.6 percent
as a result DEWB AG selling more than 600,000 shares from its holdings to
institutional investors.
New Branch Communications Implemented
Müller – Die lila Logistik AG is now making a new market appearance. The
spotlight is still on its blend of consulting services with the implementation
of logistics solutions. What is new is the concentration on four branches in
which logistics solutions are conceived, designed and operationally
implemented, namely: Automotive, Electronics, Consumer Goods and Industrial
Goods.
The new homepage http://www.lila-logistik.de serves as the central
communications platform. Following the re-launch of this proprietary web site,
visitors now have a ready source of comprehensive information about the
corporate group and its wide range of logistics solutions.
