Die Ruhrgas Energie Beteiligungs- AG, Essen, beabsichtigt, eine Beteiligung von 15% am Mannheimer Energieversorgungsunternehmen MVV Energie AG zu erwerben. Damit bekräftigt die international operierende Ruhrgas ihr Vertrauen in die Wachstumsstrategie der MVV Energie AG. Eine weitere Erhöhung der Beteiligung seitens der Ruhrgas ist nicht geplant. Die MVV Energie AG erwägt in Abstimmung mit dem Mehrheitseigentümer, der Stadt Mannheim, eine Erhöhung des Streubesitzes im Umfang von 15% der MVV- Aktien. ______________________________________________________________ Ruhrgas Set to Profit from Growth of MVV Energie AG Mannheim, November 9, 2000. Ruhrgas Energie Beteiligungs-AG in Essen intends to acquire a 15% participation in the Mannheim utility, MVV Energie AG. This investment will thus underscore the confidence that Ruhrgas, an enterprise with international activities, has in the growth strategy of MVV Energie AG. Ruhrgas is not planning to increase its participation in future. Discussions are currently underway with the majority shareholder, the City of Mannheim, on increasing the free float by approx. 15% of the shares.
