Cecilia Hernqvist appointed head of Communications at Swedbank

Cecilia Hernqvist, Swedbank Group's Chief Legal Officer, has been
appointed head of Communications at Swedbank. She will remain in the
Group Executive Committee and will take up her new role on 1 January
2014.
Cecilia Hernqvist has worked at Swedbank since 1990 and is currently the
Chief Legal Officer. In that capacity, she has been a member of the
Group Executive Committee and also Company Secretary. Cecilia Hernqvist
will report to Göran Bronner, CFO.

"I am very pleased that Cecilia Hernqvist is taking up the post of head
of Communications. We have worked closely in the Group Executive
Committee and I know the breadth of knowledge she has. Her knowledge
about all the bank's operations and her communicating ability means she
will quickly enter into her new role," said Göran Bronner.
Internal recruitment has begun to find a Chief Legal Officer.

"I have worked with diverse legal matters for many years at the bank and
in many cases the communications aspects have been crucial. When I got
this chance it did not take me long to make up my mind. I now look
forward to continuing my journey at the bank," said Cecilia Hernqvist.
Peter Borsos, the current head of Communications, will be leaving the
bank when Cecilia Hernqvist takes up her new position at the turn of the
year.
