Sandra Almström, Head of Operational Risk for business area Swedish Banking, has
today been appointed Acting Head of Anti- Financial Crime (AFC), and is
therefore a new member of Swedbank's Group Executive Committee.
"Over the past seven years, Sandra has successfully led the work with
operational risks in our largest business area. Her modern leadership,
competence and drive ensure that we do not lose pace in our important task of
fighting financial crime," says Jens Henriksson, President and CEO of Swedbank.
"As a major financial actor in our four home markets, we have an important task
in combating financial crime. I look forward to continuing to contribute,
together with colleagues and employees, to strengthening and developing our
capabilities," says Sandra Almström.
The change is being implemented because Anders Ekedahl, who has been Head of AFC
since 2019, has decided to retire next year.
"During Anders Ekedahl's leadership, AFC has successfully applied both new
technology and developed new working methods. I would like to express my
gratitude for Anders' efforts and wish him good luck in the new phase of his
life," says Jens Henriksson.
