Acquisitions	Note 9—Acquisitions During the twelve months ended December 31, 2018, the Company completed three acquisitions, all in the Interconnect Products and Assemblies segment. The Company is in the process of completing its analyses of the fair value of the assets acquired and liabilities assumed. The Company anticipates that the final assessments of values will not differ materially from the preliminary assessments. These acquisitions were not material to the Company either individually or in the aggregate. Acquisition-related Expenses In 2018, the Company incurred approximately $8.5 ($7.2 after-tax) of acquisition-related expenses in the fourth quarter related to external transaction costs. In 2017, the Company incurred approximately $4.0 ($3.7 after-tax) of acquisition-related expenses in the second quarter related to external transaction costs. In 2016, the Company incurred approximately $30.3 ($27.3 after-tax) of acquisition-related expenses related to the acquisition of FCI Asia Pte. Ltd. (“FCI”) in the first quarter, primarily related to external transaction costs, amortization related to the value associated with acquired backlog and post-closing restructuring charges; and approximately $6.3 ($5.8 after-tax) of acquisition-related transaction expenses incurred in the third quarter. Such acquisition-related expenses are separately presented in the accompanying Consolidated Statements of Income. Acquisition of SSI Controls Technologies (“SSI”) In January 2019, pursuant to a definitive agreement entered into on November 27, 2018, the Company acquired SSI Controls Technologies (“SSI”), the sensor manufacturing division of SSI Technologies, Inc., for approximately $400, net of cash acquired (subject to customary post-closing adjustments), plus a performance-related contingent payment. SSI, which is headquartered in the United States (Wisconsin), is a leading designer and manufacturer of sensors and sensing solutions for the global automotive and industrial markets. The acquisition of SSI is not material to the Company.
