¹During 2017, we ceased writing insurance in Australia resulting in a loss of $1.2 million relating to the foreign currency translation adjustment. The loss is netted against a gain on extinguishment of debt (see Note 4 – Debt) in other gains (losses) on our consolidated statements of comprehensive income for the year end December 31, 2017.
