In the ordinary course of business, the Company enters into transactions with related parties, such as equity affiliates. Such transactions consist of facility management services, the sale or purchase of goods and other arrangements.

The net sales to and purchases from related parties included in the consolidated statements of income for continuing operations were $65 million and $27 million, respectively, for the three months ended June 30, 2019; and $65 million and $19 million, respectively, for the three months ended June 30, 2018. The net sales to and purchases from related parties included in the consolidated statements of income for continuing operations were $162 million and $57 million, respectively, for the nine months ended June 30, 2019; and $169 million and $43 million, respectively, for the nine months ended June 30, 2018.
