In the ordinary course of business, the Company enters into transactions with related parties, such as equity affiliates. Such transactions consist of facility management services, the sale or purchase of goods and other arrangements.

The net sales to and purchases from related parties included in the consolidated statements of income for continuing operations were $38 million and $10 million, respectively, for the three months ended March 31, 2020; and $54 million and $16 million, respectively, for the three months ended March 31, 2019. The net sales to and purchases from related parties included in the consolidated statements of income for continuing operations were $83 million and $22 million, respectively, for the six months ended March 31, 2020; and $97 million and $30 million, respectively, for the six months ended March 31, 2019.
