Revenue is measured as the amount of consideration we expect to receive in exchange for transferring goods or providing services. Adjustments to sales incentives for previously recognized sales increased revenue by $340 million and $560 million in the three months ended September 30, 2020 and 2019.
Contract liabilities in our Automotive segments primarily consist of maintenance, extended warranty and other service contracts of $2.3 billion and $2.2 billion at September 30, 2020 and December 31, 2019, which are included in Accrued liabilities and Other liabilities. We recognized revenue of $245 million and $872 million related to contract liabilities in the three and nine months ended September 30, 2020 and $434 million and $1.3 billion in the three and nine months ended September 30, 2019. We expect to recognize revenue of $387 million in the three months ending December 31, 2020 and $839 million, $414 million and $617 million in the years ending December 31, 2021, 2022 and thereafter related to contract liabilities at September 30, 2020.
