In the three and nine months ended September 30, 2024, Income tax expense of $709 million and $2.2 billion was primarily due to tax expense attributable to entities included in our effective tax rate calculation.
In the three and nine months ended September 30, 2023, Income tax expense of $470 million and $1.4 billion was lower than the statutory tax rate primarily due to jurisdictional mix of earnings and tax expense attributable to entities included in our effective tax rate calculation.
