Based on existing contracts with its fibre supplier GasLINE the subsidiary LambdaNet signed a term sheet, which serves as a basis for negotiating a realignment of the contractual relationship. The term sheet includes the main results of past negotiations and sets the frame for the final contract. A final closing is expected during Q2 2005 and is subject to the approval of both regulatory bodies. Based on the term sheet LambdaNet will be able to realize a signficant cost reduction, which will already become effective in 2005. With respect to the convertible bond of 10.48 million EUR as shown in the balance sheet it is intended to be redeemed through a partial waiver of the creditor GasLINE in return to an one-time payment. As a consequence, the value of the subsidiary LambdaNet will increase strongly for the 3U Group. After the final closing of the agreement 3U TELECOM AG will release a new guidance for the full year 2005.
