16. Employee Benefit Plans
The Company’s employee benefit plans are described in Note 18 - Employee Benefit Plans of Notes to Consolidated Financial Statements included in The Hartford’s 2024 Form 10-K Annual Report. Net periodic cost (benefit) is recognized in insurance operating costs and other expenses in the Condensed Consolidated Statement of Operations.
The Company has not determined whether, and to what extent, contributions may be made to the U.S. qualified defined benefit pension plan in 2025. The Company will monitor the funded status of the U.S. qualified defined benefit pension plan during 2025 to make this determination.
