Income Taxes Income Taxes:The Company’s effective income tax rate was 23.0% in the second quarter of fiscal 2023 compared to 23.5% in the second quarter of fiscal 2022. The Company’s effective income tax rate was 22.4% in the first six months of fiscal 2023 compared to 22.7% in the first six months of fiscal 2022. The decrease in the effective income tax rate in the first three and six months of fiscal 2023 compared to the corresponding periods in fiscal 2022 was driven primarily by a decrease in state income taxes.
