The Company's intangible assets consist primarily of legal costs associated with the application for and registration of the Company’s patents and trademarks. The Company recorded $25,000 and $175,000 of amortization of intangible assets during the three and six months ended December 31, 2013, respectively. The Company did not record any amortization of intangible assets during the three and six months ended December 31, 2012. The balance of accumulated amortization was $375,000 and $200,000 at December 31, 2013 and June 30, 2013, respectively. Estimated future amortization related to trademark registration fees is $56,000, $237,000, $237,000, $216,000, $54,000 and $3,000 for the remainder of fiscal 2014 and fiscal years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and thereafter, respectively. The Company commences amortization of patent registration fees upon approval of the related patent, the timing of which is determined by the regulating authority and is outside the control of the Company. Therefore, future amortization expense related to patent registration fees by year cannot be reasonably estimated; however, upon approval of each patent, the Company expects to amortize the related capitalized fees over the estimated useful life of the patent.
