Court strikes Plaintiffs’ claim to an injunction seeking
to halt the privatization transaction

Company reiterates remaining claims are completely without merit

BCE (TSX, NYSE: BCE) today announced that the Saskatchewan Court of Queen’s Bench has struck the Plaintiffs’ claim to an injunction seeking to halt the privatization transaction. This claim had been made in connection with the action brought on October 27, 2008.

BCE also stated that the remaining claims asserted in this action are completely without merit, and will vigorously defend the claims in court.

Pursuant to the Definitive Agreement relating to the privatization transaction, as amended, the acquisition of the company is scheduled to close on December 11, 2008.
