Goodwill And Other Intangible Assets	Substantially all of our goodwill relates to the excess of cost over the fair value of the net assets acquired in the Columbia acquisition on November 1, 2000. Our goodwill balance was $1,485.9 million as of December 31, 2023 and 2022. All of our goodwill has been allocated to the Gas Distribution Operations segment. For our annual goodwill impairment analysis performed as of May 1, 2023, we completed a qualitative "step 0" assessment and determined that it was more likely than not that the estimated fair value of the reporting unit substantially exceeded the related carrying value of our reporting unit. For this test, we assessed various assumptions, events and circumstances that would have affected the estimated fair value of the reporting units as compared to the baseline "step 1" fair value measurement performed May 1, 2020.
