[1] The facility provides New MACH Gen the ability to make revolving cash borrowings and to request the lenders to issue up to $120 million of letters of credit, which in combination cannot exceed the capacity of the facility at any given time. The weighted average interest rate on outstanding borrowings was 5.14% and 5.04% at March 31, 2016 and December 31, 2015. The amounts borrowed are recorded on the Balance Sheets as "Long-term debt" at March 31, 2016 and as "Short-term debt" at December 31, 2015. The classification as current at December 31, 2015 was based on Talen Energy's intent and ability to repay outstanding borrowings within the next year.
[2] The facility is syndicated and provides Talen Energy Supply the ability to make revolving cash borrowings and to request the lenders to issue up to $925 million of letters of credit, which in combination cannot exceed the capacity of the facility at any given time. The weighted average interest rate on outstanding borrowings was 2.67% at December 31, 2015. The amounts borrowed are recorded as "Short-term debt" on the Balance Sheet.
