Bayern Munich and STARAMBA arrange cooperation for 3D Bayern player figures

Mario Götze, Manuel Neuer, Thomas Müller and other famous players true to life at home – innovative technology makes it possible: the 3D printing and data specialist STARAMBA, a subsidiary of the Social Commerce Group, will produce the stars of the German football record champion in 3D miniature format.

Berlin, August 6, 2015 – The stars of FC Bayern Munich within your own four walls – this dream of every football fan will come true thanks to STARAMBA GmbH: the subsidiary of the Social Commerce Group SE (ISIN: DE000A1K03W5) registered in the General Standard, will produce faithful 3D figures of the players of the German football record champion Bayern Munich in miniature format in future. The company and the club have now contractually agreed upon an appropriate collaboration. “Bayern Munich is the absolute figurehead of German football. “We are proud that another international top brand is building on the expertise of STARAMBA”, comments Julian von Hassell, CEO of the Social Commerce Group, about the signing of the contract. Before Bayern Munich, two other Champions League Clubs – Bayer Leverkusen and Arsenal London – already secured the services of the 3D printing and data specialist.

Von Hassell further stated: “For us the collaboration with Bayern Munich is a real milestone, and underlines that we rightly perceived STARAMBA as the future technology and market leader within the 3D data and printing environments. This confirms our strategy to focus on start-ups which already possess a proof of concept.”

The fact that the fans can buy Bayern stars such as Mario Götze, Manuel Neuer and Thomas Müller, as 3D figures printed in photo quality, is possible due to the unique technology of the STARAMBA photogrammetric scanner INSTAGRAPH. INSTAGRAPH exceeds the quality of previous commercially available scanners, and also works extremely cost efficiently. “With this solution, franchising in 3D printing will become a sustainable business model for the first time”, explains Christian Daudert, CEO of STARAMBA.

Thanks to the 3D configuration tool make4me, developed by STARAMBA subsidiary yoyo smart social web solutions AG, a further entity of the Social Commerce Group SE, fans can design their stars in various shirts, poses and with various accessories of their choice – and make the 3D figure into a unique one-off piece and sought-after collector’s item.
