[1] During the year ended December 31, 2022, we repurchased and retired 41.9 million shares of our common stock at an average price of $61.79 per share, for $2.6 billion, inclusive of fees, pursuant to the repurchase program authorized by our board of directors in February 2022, and further expanded by our board of directors in May 2022 and November 2022. The primary purpose of the repurchase program was to offset dilution from the merger with BMC.
[2] During the year ended December 31, 2023, we repurchased and retired 17.8 million shares of our common stock at an average price of $100.49 per share, for $1.8 billion, inclusive of fees and taxes, pursuant to the repurchase program authorized by our board of directors in November 2022 and further expanded by our board of directors in April 2023. The primary purpose of the repurchase program was to offset dilution from the merger with BMC.
[3] During the year ended December 31, 2024, we repurchased and retired 8.9 million shares of our common stock at an average price of $170.74 per share, for $1.5 billion, inclusive of fees and taxes, pursuant to the repurchase programs authorized by our board of directors in February 2024 and August 2024.
