NEXUS AG / Quarter Results

Villingen-Schwenningen, May 14th, 2007: NEXUS AG specialized on medical
software increased group sales by 19.3 % from KEUR 5,287 (in Q1-2006) to
KEUR 6,309 in first quarter 2007. Sales increased highly by 20.5 % in
Healthcare Software division and went to KEUR 5,177 after 4,298 in the
previous year. Healthcare Service division reached with a sales of KEUR
1,132 (Q1-2006: KEUR 989) a rising of about 14.5 %.
Profit after tax improved by 18 % compared to the previous year to KEUR 374
(Q1-2006: KEUR 317). The same effect was realised for the Profit before
tax, which improved by 5 % to KEUR 376 (Q1-2006: 358). EBITDA increased by
about 17 % to KEUR 1,117 (Q1-2006: KEUR 956) in the reporting period. In
the first quarter NEXUS Schweiz, Schwerzenbach (CH) was completely
consolidated the first time.
Cash Flow from current transactions was about KEUR 602 higher than the last
year, it grew from KEUR 232 (Q1-2006) to KEUR 834. Also positive was the
development of the sales outside of Germany, which reached a share of 43.2
% (Q1-2006: 24.4 %) of the group sales in the first quarter.
NEXUS AG has a financially sound balance sheet. Cash reserves amounted to
EUR 17.4 million (Q1-2006: EUR 17.4 million.), which is still rather high.
NEXUS develops and markets IT-solutions for the healthcare sector. NEXUS
supports the integrated healthcare approach which ensures the exchange of
data between general practitioners, hospitals and rehabilitation clinics.
Over 250 employees of the NEXUS group are developing Software- and
IT-Solutions which is daily used by about 54.000 users in 17 countries
worldwide.
