NEXUS AG / Half Year Results

Villingen-Schwenningen, 13 August 2007: NEXUS AG, Villingen-Schwenningen,
listed in Prime Standard, improved its sales to KEUR 13,239 in the first
half year from KEUR 11,041 (+19.9%) and achieved a substantially better
EBTDA of KEUR 2,521 compared to KEUR 2,303 (+9.5%) in the previous year.
The result before taxes improved from KEUR 562 to KEUR 605 (+7.7%), and the
Group result improved by 20.2% from KEUR 460 to KEUR 553.
The second quarter closed with sales of KEUR 6,930 compared to KEUR 5,754
in the previous year (+20.4%) and an operating result before taxes of KEUR
230 (previous year: KEUR 204). Sales continued to show good news with an
increase in the Healthcare Software sector in the second quarter, rising by
approximately 22.7% to KEUR 5,894.
Sales in this area increased by a total of 21.7% to KEUR 11,071 (previous
year: KEUR 9,100) during the half year. The foreign share of Group sales
was 41.7% in the first half year compared to 28% in the previous year. The
Healthcare Service Division recorded sales of KEUR 2,168 in the half year
following KEUR 1,941 (+11.7%) in the first six months of the previous year.
NEXUS / PASCHMANN GmbH, Oberhausen, which was acquired in June 2007, is
consolidated in these figures with one month.
As of 30 June 2007, the balance sheet of the NEXUS AG showed cash on hand
and securities worth 14.1 million euros, against which there are no
substantial financial liabilities. The equity capital rate was 80%.
NEXUS AG is active internationally as a supplier of medical information
systems for health care systems. NEXUS customers include renowned hospitals
as well as rehabilitation and social welfare institutions in 17 countries.
Introduction of NEXUS software makes it possible to support medical
processes digitally and consequently improve patient treatment and reduce
treatment costs.
More than 280 staff members in the NEXUS Group develop software and IT
solutions, with which approximately 54,000 users in 17 countries
work.
