Villingen-Schwenningen, 16 August 2010: NEXUS AG, Villingen Schwenningen,
listed in Prime Standard, improved its sales to KEUR 20,731 in the first
half year from KEUR 18,829 (+10.1%) and achieved a substantially better
result before taxes of KEUR 1,576 compared to KEUR 981 in the previous year
(+60.6%).
The EBITDA improved from KEUR 3,359 to KEUR 4,073 (+21.0%) and the period
result by 88.2% from KEUR 849 to KEUR 1,598. The second quarter closed with
sales of KEUR 10,403 compared to KEUR 9,316 in the previous year (+11.7%)
and a result before taxes improved by 73.4% to KEUR 749 (previous year:
KEUR 432).
Sales continued to show good news with an increase in the Healthcare
Software sector in the first six months, rising by approximately 11.1% to
KEUR 18,510 (previous year: KEUR 16,667).
The foreign share of Group sales was 38.6% in the first half year compared
to 35.7% in the previous year. The Healthcare Service Division recorded
sales of KEUR 2,221 in the first half year 2010 following KEUR 2,162
(+2.7%) in the first six months of the previous year.
The operative cash flow of KEUR 5,412 is approx. 50% higher than the
previous year's level at (previous year: KEUR 3,608). As of 30 June 2010,
the balance sheet of the NEXUS AG showed cash on hand and securities worth
EUR 13.8 million, against which there are no substantial financial
liabilities. The equity capital rate was 78.5%.
